How do I descale my Zinzino EK’Oh espresso machine?
To descale your EK’Oh machine:
- Pour the descaling solution into the water tank (1 complete phial). Fill the tank with cold water.
- Insert the plastic rinsing capsule where the coffee capsule normally goes.
- Press the Long Coffee button for 5 seconds.
- Release the button when the Chevron and the Long Coffee Button starts flashing.
- Press the Short Coffee button for 5 seconds.
- Release the button when the 2 coffee buttons and the Chevron flash alternately. The machine is now in Descaling mode.
- Press one of the coffee buttons.
- The descaling cycle begins. The machine will run the pump for 1minute then stop the pump for 1minute. This alternate starting/stopping of the pump will carry on until the water tank is empty.
- When the tank is empty, the machine stops the pump.
- Refill the water tank, then press a button.
- The machine will once again proceed with alternately starting/stopping the pump until the tank is empty.
- Repeat the operations 9, 10 and 11 again and press a coffee key. The machine will now reject the plastic pod after a waiting period of approx. 10 seconds.
- At the end of the scale removal cycle, check that the plastic pod has been ejected. Empty the water from the tank, and then fill again witch clean water.
- Carry out at least 3 long coffee cycles with the plastic scale removal pod, and then once again empty the water from the tank. Check that the plastic pod has indeed been ejected after each cycle.
- The scale removal process is now complete, and the machine is ready
